The City Attorney is the legal advisor to the Benkelman City Council. The City Attorney also provides legal advice to City staff, and other City Boards and Commissions.

The City Attorney is responsible for:

  • Drafting ordinances and resolutions

  • Reviewing contracts

  • Prosecuting municipal code violations
